The dismantling of the traditional newspaper model continues. Today the Denver Post announced that the Business section would now be part of the local coverage section Denver and the West. Apparently advertising support had dropped to where the section no longer made sense on a stand alone basis. Ironically the news was reported first in the Denver Business Journal, which seems to be doing fine with its hyper-local coverage.
Grandaisy Bakery has announced the availability of a delicious cake made from an old family recipe.
Call them at 212.334.9435 and demand they send you one. You won’t regret it.
Rockies Venture Club announced today that it had secured free and discounted PositiveWare subscriptions for paid up RVC members as an additional member benefit.
PositiveWare is a web application that is used to track time, manage projects, and create budgets and bills. The PositiveWare user base falls into the exact same category as RVC members: management teams and small professional services firms.
“PositiveWare provides the increased collaboration, alignment and accountability that every small business needs to be successful, and we are thrilled to be part of the RVC success story,” said Charles Von Thun, President, PositiveWare.
Under the terms of the agreement PositiveWare will offer RVC members five free users and a discounted rate on additional users. Because the majority of RVC members are startups and small professional service firms, RVC expects most members to be able to take advantage of this benefit at no cost.
“RVC helps create Colorado success stories. This important new benefit for our members is part of our ongoing commitment to make the latest information and technology available to our members to make sure they are successful,” said Maita Lester, Executive Director, RVC.

Our client Grandaisy Bakery now has their panettone available via mail order. I am able to report that it is delicious. Great gift for a holiday party or a nice treat for breakfast.
Our client, Grandaisy Bakery has been working on a new location at 72nd and Amsterdam, and expects to open very soon - like Wednesday. A great Chowhound entry reflects the excitement. I love the visual of all the excited foodies being captured by the webcam.
Go Bakery! Go Bakery!
After a long wait Grandaisy Bakery, our favorite food production customer (admittedly our only one) has made e-commerce available on their website. Now, no matter where you are in the country you can buy panettone (in season), pasquale colomba (in season), the Grandaisy Cake (anytime) and yummy cookies (anytime).
We just got the cake today and it is nothing short of delicious.
Our client Decisioneering was acquired by Hyperion Software today. We hope that part of their spectacular performance over the last few years was attributable to their use of PositiveWare.
We congratulate the management of Decisioneering including Jim Franklin for making this deal happen.
Now to bring Hyperion into the fold!
Our client Grandaisy Bakery has redone their website, and it has left me drooling. The pictures are out of this world. Hopefully this means the online store is coming soon.
One of our clients, Grandaisy Bakery recently came up with a delicious confection, the Grandaisy Cake. Made of almond flour and orange essence, my mouth waters looking at it. If you happen to be in Manhattan, go to Sullivan Street between Spring and Broome for a taste.
Hopefully they will get ecommerce going soon.
